On this Valentine’s Day, I share with you my favorite Truths about love.
Before our love for others, before their love for us, before any love we have for ourselves, there is the love of the One Who created us.
We might consider this a Valentine’s Day Card from the Lord!
Oh give thanks to the Lord , for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Psalms 118:1
…[May] you, being rooted and grounded in love…have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
…God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 1 John 4:8-9
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
…But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Enjoy and rest in His affection for you today, even as you express your love for others.
